Training associated with social reality is one of the crucial decisions the existence and development of the University. In recent years, innovating program content, teaching methods, and assessment methods, University of Technology and Education (UTE) - The University of Danang is particularly concerned about internships to closely link the theory and practice.
Starting from 2015, the school has organised the Enterprise Semester in the series of training programs. Implementing the Enterprise Semester and organizing for students to study at enterprises has been carrying out by faculties and departments that there were 1015 student participants and nearly 120 enterprises in joining in training. After the internship at the company, many students have been recruited by domestic and foreign enterprises including FPT, VTC, Bana Hills, Mabuchi Motor, ME company (Japan), and so on....
With the aim of exchanging, analysing, evaluating, sharing the experience and proposing the solutions to organize quality and effective implementation of the Enterprise Semester. On April 22nd, 2021, University of Technical Education organised a Conference training quality improvement of the Enterprise Semester, together with the participation of the Board of Directors, Leaders of Departments, Centers and Leaders of Faculties and Departments.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Cao Tho- Principal of the school to place great emphasis on linking training and practice between the University and the Enterprise in implementing the University’s mission, vision and development strategy. Besides, he proposed the main contents in which the conference should focus on a discussion to improve quality and effectiveness of the implementation of the Enterprise Semester.
Representatives of the leaders of the Faculties and Training Departments had reports that highlighted the effectiveness of the implementation of the enterprise semester, advantages, and difficulties and thereby practical solutions were proposed so that the Enterprise Semester is really its own identity in the training work of the University.
The conference received a lot of discussion, ideas, and proposed solutions on how to organize traning in the quality improvement of the enterprise semester. New basic policies to support stakeholders in the company deploy as well as new forms to strengthen relationships with businesses in the direction of association, mutual benefit and development.
After nearly 3 hours, the conference got some unifications as follows:
- Being necessary to build a regulation on the process, implementation methods, attaching responsibility of involved sides, professional faculties, and lecturers for cooperation activities with enterprises;
- Being necessary to establish new policies is suitable with the conditions of the school to support lecturers and faculties for getting the better of Enterprise Semester;
- Schools, faculties, and departments need to deploy new forms of approach and create long-term and sustainable cooperation relationships with businesses.
Through this conference, the Enterprise Semester is a cohesive model of students, enterprise and school in order to train high-quality human resources, quickly adapting to the professional working environment in the context of the international community. The focus on improving the effective quality of the Enterprise Semester is a proper way of school to innovate training activities, linking theory with practice and help students adapt to the new labor market in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
