UD-UTE, TAISEI, and Esuhai Organize “Taisei Construction Technical Skills” Competition

On September 10, 2024, the University of Technology and Education - The University of Danang (UD-UTE), in collaboration with TAISEI Corporation and Esuhai Co., Ltd., successfully organized the “Taisei Construction Technical Skills” competition. Outstanding students from the competition were selected for the "Vietnamese Engineers - Japanese Technology" program.

Competition Overview
The competition was held across three testing locations:
• UD-UTE – 40 student participants
• Esuhai Co., Ltd. and Lac Hong University – 50 student participants

Contestants were assessed through three main areas:
1. Project management skills
2. Communication skills
3. Construction technical knowledge
After the written test, 20 students (including four from UD-UTE) advanced to the interview round with Esutech. The top 10 students from this stage then had final interviews with TAISEI Corporation.
Outstanding Achievements
Among the four final award winners, two students from UD-UTE’s Faculty of Civil Engineering won a scholarship worth 96,000,000 VND each. Additionally, they secured positions as Construction Management Engineers at TAISEI Corporation in Tokyo, Japan.
Career Preparation and Training
Before starting their careers in Japan, the two selected students will undergo Japanese language training and job-specific skill development provided by Esuhai Co., Ltd.. This program ensures they meet the technical and professional standards required by their future employer.
Strategic Cooperation for International Career Opportunities
The “Taisei Construction Technical Skills” competition is a key initiative under the collaboration between UD-UTE and Esuhai Co., Ltd.. This partnership aims to:
• Identify and recruit qualified students for employment in Japan
• Enhance students' foreign language skills (Japanese)
• Provide career development opportunities for students aspiring to work abroad
By participating in such competitions, UD-UTE students gain valuable career advantages, directly connecting with leading global companies and increasing their employment prospects in Japan’s construction industry.
