From March 9 to 13, 2026, a delegation from The University of Danang – University of Technology and Education (UD-UTE) participated in a training program under the DIVE (Digitalising Vietnamese Education) Erasmus+ project in Brussels and Kortrijk, Belgium.
Representing the University were Dr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Acting Deputy Head of the Department of Science Management and International Cooperation, and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, M.A., Specialist of the Department.
The DIVE project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union with a total budget of EUR 794,524. The project aims to promote digital transformation in Vietnamese higher education by strengthening institutional capacity and supporting the adoption of digital technologies in teaching, learning, and university management.
The training program brought together academics, educational experts, and university administrators from leading Belgian higher education institutions, including Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), VIVES University of Applied Sciences, and the Brussels Innovation Center. Throughout the program, participants exchanged ideas and discussed emerging trends in the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital technologies in higher education.
As part of the training, the UD-UTE delegation attended workshops on generative artificial intelligence, participated in hands-on sessions exploring digital learning platforms such as Moodle and H5P, and visited the headquarters of the European Parliament to gain further insights into European cooperation and innovation initiatives. These activities provided valuable practical experience to support the University's ongoing digital transformation efforts.
Highlights of the training program
The training program equipped participants with up-to-date knowledge and practical perspectives on digital education, enabling UD-UTE to stay informed about emerging trends in higher education innovation. It also contributed to strengthening the University's international cooperation, fostering the exchange of best practices, and supporting continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and university governance.
