DA NANG – Recently, a delegation from the SOHO Project Executive Board representing the University of Technology and Education, led by Prof. Vo Trung Hung, paid an official working visit to the Information Technology and Digital Resources Center. The primary objective of this meeting was to coordinate the technical implementation and deployment of e-learning lectures developed under the SOHO project onto the central Learning Management System of The University of Danang. This local deployment builds upon the university's active international engagements, as delegates participated in an international training program on “Smart Transportation” under the SOHO Erasmus+ Project, hosted by IUT Lumière Lyon 2, University Lyon 2, France, from 15–19 June 2026.
The SOHO Project, standing for Smart, Optimized, High-quality education in Tourism for green and sustainable development, is a major initiative funded by the European Union through the Erasmus+ Programme with a total budget of €796,806. It brings together a consortium of nine partner institutions from Europe (France, Italy, Romania) and Asia (Malaysia, Bangladesh, Vietnam), specifically including The University of Danang and the University of Technology and Education. The project is designed to transform tourism education by empowering higher education institutions to adopt intelligent, sustainable practices. This includes integrating smart technologies to optimize transport, hospitality, and visitor management systems, utilizing renewable energy, and promoting flexible, student-centered learning environments.
During the working session, Prof. Vo Trung Hung and the delegation discussed the strategic steps necessary to host these specialized electronic lectures on the university's LMS. By partnering with the Information Technology and Digital Resources Center, the SOHO project ensures that its high-quality digital resources will be efficiently distributed and easily accessible to the broader academic community. This digital integration marks a crucial milestone in elevating educational quality at the university, utilizing advanced digital platforms to actively contribute to the overarching global agenda of green and sustainable development.
