From October 29 to 31, 2019, the Project Management Board of V2WORK held
a meeting of the Project Management Board and the International Conference on
innovation and entrepreneurship at the University of Social Sciences and
Humanities - City National University, Ho Chi Minh city. The representative of
the University of Danang (UD) attended the meeting and the seminar were Assoc.Prof.Dr.
Vo Trung Hung, MSc. Ngo Thi Ngoc Hoa, MSc. Le Vu and members of Smart Trash
team participate in the startup idea contest.
The project "Improving the Vietnamese higher education system to
increase job opportunities and entrepreneurship skills for students after
graduation" is called "Strengthening the Vietnamese Higher Education
System to improve graduates' employability and entrepreneurship skills ",
called V2WORK for short, is coordinated by Alicante University (Spain), lasting
for 3 years (2017 - 2020) and sponsored by the Erasmus + Foundation of the
European Union. Universities (Universities) participating in the project
include: Alicante University (Spain), Coimbra University (Portugal) and
Joanneum FH University (Austria); with representatives of member universities
from Vietnam including Hanoi University of Technology, Vinh University of
Industry, University of Da Nang, Tay Nguyen University, Nha Trang University,
University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU HCM City, Thu Dau Mot University
and Tra Vinh University.
During the meeting of the Project Management Board, partner schools
reported on the results of project implementation in the unit and the plan in
the coming time. The meeting members highly appreciated the efforts and
achievements of UD with many activities related to job support for students and
start-ups.

Bin addition to the session, the Project Management Board organized many
other events such as the Be Green Startup Contest and roundtable discussion
sessions (Panel) on various topics such as Ecosystem Business, University
Cooperation - Business in start-ups, How to become an entrepreneur, ...
Team Smart Trash (Smart Trash Bin) is the winner of the Smart Campus
competition of University of Technical Education who participated in the
contest. The team's idea of integrating smart applications in the trash has
received much attention and input from the judges as well as delegates.

Representing UD to participate in Panels, Assoc. Prof. Dr. VO Trung Hung, MSc. Ngo Thi Ngoc Hoa and MSc. Le Vu shared experiences and contributed many suggestions which were highly appreciated by the delegates. Through discussions at the Panels, the units shared many important information and experiences from Europe, businesses and universities from all parts of the country. The formation of a startup ecosystem requires efforts from all stakeholders such as universities, businesses, policymakers, government regulators and especially students..
