University of Technology and Education signed a cooperation agreement with SEAMEO INNOTECH

From 7 to 10 October 2019, the Governing Board of SEAMEO INNOTECH had a meeting in Da Nang. Attending the meeting were Deputy Minister of Education of the Philippines TS. Jesus Lorenzo Ruiz Mateo. Assoc. Prof. Dr. VO Trung Hung chaired the meeting as Chairman of the Board of Directors for a three-year term (2017-2019). During this time, SEAMEO INNOTECH signed a MoU with the University of Technology and Education (UTE).

SEAMEO Center for Educational Innovation and Technology (SEAMEO INNOTECH) is one of the three regional centers of SEAMEO sponsored by the Government of the Philippines and SEAMEO (Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization). SEAMEO INNOTECH was established in January 1970 and is headquartered at the headquarters of the SEAMEO Secretariat in Thailand. SEAMEO INNOTECH's headquarters was then moved to Singapore, Vietnam ,Thailand and from July 1981 officially accepted by SEAMEO to locate its permanent headquarters in the Philippines. SEAMEO INNOTECH is currently located on the campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman, Quezon City. Members of the Board of Directors are senior officials in the respective ministries / education sectors of each country or are national and international educators appointed by the SEAMEO Council Chairman based on recommendation by ministers of member countries.

While the Director of Board is working in Da Nang, SEAMEO INNOTECH Center signed a MoU with University of Technology and Education (UTE). Ramon Bacani, PhD, Director of SEAMEO INNOTECH, wishes to cooperate with the National University of Education and Training and the Vietnam Institute of Educational Science (VNIES) to implement training programs for trainers / trainers for Vietnam. In addition, SEAMEO INNOTECH wants to transfer online training systems and new educational support technologies to the universities of education and training for deployment in Vietnam. The two sides also wish to coordinate to organize seminars on strengthening applied technology in teaching and learning activities
